JAI is a membership organisatoin with 8 chapters across the world. As a member of JAI you get to participate in an eloborate network of journalists, media partners and friends who continue to have a profound impact in the field of journalism both local/ natonally and internationally.
You stay connected with members throughout of India and those who work abroad. You remain informed of the latest issues affecting diversity in the newsroom and in the media industry through DATELINE JAI newsletter and JAI online listserver, and the latest opportunities for professional development and network through JAI national/ international conventions, JAI job Resources, the Executive Leadership Program, JAI internships, mentorship and scholarships. Most importantly, you become part of larger community of journalists of Color, who share our values and commitment to diversify in the newsroom. If these values are in keeping with your vision, then JAI membership is for you.
JAI is membership base orgnisation. Memebership is open to all journlist, professional, Retired journalist, persons support JAI's mission (including non-journalists), student membership is open to those attending higher education, institutions or high schools. All memberships are subject to the approval of the membership committee headed by Secretary General of Association. All of JAI's membership categories and fees are determind by the Board and are subject to revision at the discretion of the Board.
Qualification of Members
Memebership shall be extended to any person whose application has been accepted and who has paid the required annual membrership fee. All memberships are subject to the approval of the membership committee.
Please note that all JAI membership are per calender year January 1 to 31st December.
